Stacey Solomon admits she accidentally dropped her NTA trophy in the toilet, laughing: "Things aren't always as perfect as they seem!"

Viewers of the NTAs tonight weren’t too pleased after Stacey Solomon took home the award for Factual Entertainment.

The former X Factor star won for her hit BBC show Sort Your Life Out. The programme watches Stacey and her team help transform family homes.

Other shows in the category included Clarkson’s Farm, Gogglebox, The Martin Lewis Money Show, and The Yorkshire Vet.

Stacey apologises to fans over NTA reaction

Regardless, Stacey hasn’t shied away from showing off her win.

In fact, she has no apologised to her followers for sharing so much content about her trophy!

The star took to social media to share her thanks from the “bottom of her heart” with a video of her and the Sort Your Life Out team claiming their award.

She gushed in the caption: “It feels like a dream. Just wow. I’m so proud of myself & the entire @sortyourlifeout team who deserve this so so much. None of us expected this. I AM SO SO GRATEFUL to every single one of you who voted.”

Stace later posed with the NTA gong on her stories and joked “obviously I won an award, in case you didn’t know.”

The star even shared a string of snaps with herself and her family cradling the NTA gong, with the brood looking over the moon as they beamed for the snaps.

She penned in the caption: “Beaming an NTA lives at pickle cottage. Nothing means anything without them…I’ll stop now I promise! This is the last one! I’m just so overwhelmed I can’t help myself. Thank you again everyone. Too the moon & back.” [sic]

The presenter took to her stories to apologise to her followers for the coverage, promising: “I’m sorry I will stop now, I promise. I’m just so happy!”

NTAs viewers slam Stacey Solomon win

Despite Stacey winning the public vote, some viewers weren’t happy with the result.

One user wrote: “Clarkson’s Farm was more deserving of the award, sorry. I’m struggling to think what contribution to the nation that a former X Factor contestant has done.”

“How did Clarkson’s Farm not win that award? That shows fantastic no offence Stacey love you but that show looked like watching paint dry,” another person shared.

“Now what qualifies Stacey Solomon to organise my life? She’s certainly not qualified or entertaining enough to win an award…” a third remarked.

Other viewers insisted that The Martin Lewis Money Show should have taken the award.

“I mean, don’t get me wrong, what Stacey and her team does is lovely. Cleaning people’s homes but Martin Lewis is literally helping an entire nation week in week out. I’m not surprised his face looked gutted,” one user shared.

“I’m sorry what? I love Stacey Solomon but that award belongs to Martin Lewis,” another wrote.

Someone else wrote: “Martin Lewis is fuuuuming,” while another added: “Martin Lewis looked fuming there, well done Stacey she’s always seemed a lovely woman.”
