Selena Gomez reunited with her Emilia Pérez co-star Zoe Saldaña on Sunday to promote their queer crime musical at the Variety TIFF Studio during the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada.

The 32-year-old certified billionaire enlisted her hairstylist Marissa Marino to give her a voluminous sixties bouffant aided by a top hairpiece fastened to the back of her head.

Selena wore a midi-sleeve LBD with dark tights and matching pumps selected by stylist Erin Walsh.

A glimpse at Gomez’s shrinking 5ft5in figure in 2024 versus 2023 has certainly sparked rumors she’s hopped aboard the trendy Ozempic train.

Make-up artist Melissa Murdick fully contoured the Emmy nominee’s complexion, brought out her bushy brows, and overlined her lips.

Gomez stars as Jessi Del Monte, a transgender Mexican cartel leader’s wife, in Jacques Audiard’s critically-acclaimed film hitting select theaters November 1 before streaming November 13 on Netflix.

Last Friday, the ‘Texican’ pop star’s rumored fiancé Benny Blanco voiced his approval of her performance in Emilia Pérez.

The 36-year-old music producer – who began dating Selena in June 2023 – gushed in her Instagram comments: ‘This is one of the best movies I have ever seen!’

Indeed, the film currently has an 89% critic approval rating (out of 46 reviews) on Rotten Tomatoes.

And next Sunday, Gomez will compete for the outstanding lead actress in a comedy series trophy for her role as Mabel Mora in Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards.

Make-up artist Vera Steimberg brought out Saldaña’s natural beauty for the film festivities.

Selena and the Lioness producer-star were joined at TIFF by their castmates Karla Sofia Gascón, Adriana Paz, and Edgar Ramírez.

Composers Clément Ducol and Camille Dalmais were honored with the TIFF Variety Artisan Award that same day. The Emilia Pérez gang will next head to Northern California on October 5 for the Mill Valley Film Festival, which will honor the cast with the outstanding ensemble performance trophy.

On May 25, the Cannes Film Festival awarded the best actress prize jointly to the Rare Beauty founder, Zoe, Karla, and Adriana.

Elsewhere at TIFF, Lupita Nyong’o and Catherine O’Hara attended the premiere of DreamWorks Animation’s animated sci-fi flick The Wild Robot at Roy Thomson Hall.

The 41-year-old Oscar winner – who voices a robot called Roz – flashed her neon-green panties beneath a sheer matching cut-out gown and peep-toe platforms selected by her longtime stylist Micaela Erlanger.

The 70-year-old Emmy winner – who voices opossum Pinktail – wore a pink floral cropped blazer with a slightly matching maxi-skirt and black booties selected by stylist Andrew Gelwicks. Mark Hamill – who voices grizzly bear Thorn – flashed finger guns and salutes in his blue suit over a black top.

The 72-year-old Star Wars icon, Lupita, and Catherine then joined their co-star Kit Connor, director Chris Sanders, and producer Jeff Hermann for a pre-screening Q&A. Stephanie Hsu – who voices evil robot Vontra – excitedly posed with fans on the red carpet in her strapless black dress and pumps selected by stylist Alexandra Mandelkorn.

Maren Morris – who wore a leggy high-low dress – will release two songs Kiss the Sky and Even When I’m Not on The Wild Robot soundtrack dropping September 27.

Juliette Binoche joined her The Return co-star Charlie Plummer and director Uberto Pasolini inside the Getty Images Portrait Studio to promote the Odyssey-inspired historical drama. 

Pharrell Williams easily defied his 51 years in an orange sweatshirt and blue jeans while promoting Morgan Neville’s Lego-animated documentary Piece by Piece about himself at the Variety TIFF Studio. The 35-year-old Emmy nominee was in Canada promoting her new film The Assessment alongside co-stars Himesh Patel and Alicia Vikander as well as director Fleur Fortune at the Variety TIFF Studio. 

Rachel Sennott donned a zip-up black halter bustier and cigarette pants selected by stylist Jared Ellner.

The 28-year-old Independent Spirit Award nominee was at TIFF promoting her new SNL-inspired film Saturday Night alongside Ella Hunt, Jason Reitman, Cory Michael Smith, Dylan O’Brien, Lamorne Morris and Gabriel LaBelle at the Deadline Studio.
