Matt LeBlanc has his Friends costars worried about him as the anniversary of their beloved castmate Matthew Perry’s passing approaches.

Since Perry’s tragic d3ath in October 2023, LeBlanc, 57, has rarely been seen in public while grieving, and his latest appearance reportedly made his friends uneasy with worry.

He was spotted out in Los Angeles earlier this month and his disheveled appearance was ‘concerning’ his costars, a source told In Touch Weekly, after they saw the photos of him obtained by TMZ.

‘Nobody is body shaming Matt or accusing him of anything untoward lifestyle. That’s not what’s going on here,’ the insider clarified.

‘What’s concerning though, for Jen [Aniston] and all the Central Perk crew, is that he’s such a recluse these days and they barely hear from him from one month to the next,’ the source said.

‘He’s been in touch since the tragic passing of Matthew Perry,’ the insider said.

‘But aside from that, he’s just hunkered down and doing his own thing without any real interest in socializing,’ the source continued.

‘That’s just plain sad for everyone to see,’ the source adds.

About LeBlanc’s noticeable change, the insider said: ‘He used to be such an upbeat, happy guy but now it’s as though he doesn’t feel worthy to be in their company somehow.’

The source added: ‘Clearly his self-esteem’s taken a knock, and you only have to look at the guy to see he’s let himself go physically too.’

However, the source reassured that LeBlanc still has his friends’ unwavering support.

‘Jen, Courteney [Cox], Lisa [Kudrow] and David [Schwimmer] all want to get him back in the fold and get him smiling again,’ the insider said.

‘The recent tragedy has taught them all how short and precious life truly is.’

This comes as the anniversary of Perry’s passing approaches.

After Perry was found unresponsive at his home in Los Angeles, LeBlanc was the first Friends cast member to post an individual tribute remembering his costar.

‘Matthew. It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye. The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life,’ he wrote on November 14, 2023 alongside a series of stills from their scenes on the sitcom.

‘It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend,’ he wrote. ‘I will always smile when I think of you, and I’ll never forget you. Never.’

LeBlanc penned: ‘Spread your wings and fly brother you’re finally free. Much love.’

He concluded his tribute with one last joke between him and his close friend. ‘And I guess you’re keeping the 20 bucks you owe me.’
